Backcountry Bistro Return & Refund Policy

Returns
Due to the perishable nature and food safety regulations surrounding our freeze-dried meals, all food sales are final. We are unable to accept returns or exchanges on any food products, even if unopened. This policy ensures the highest level of food safety and quality for every customer.
Non-food items (such as apparel or gear):
We offer a 30-day return policy on eligible non-food items. You have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, with tags, and in its original packaging. Please include your receipt or proof of purchase.
To start a return, contact us at info@backcountrybistro.com. If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label and instructions. Returns sent back without prior authorization will not be accepted.
Damages and Issues
Please inspect your order upon arrival. If your package is damaged, incorrect, or you have a product quality concern, contact us at info@backcountrybistro.com within 7 days of delivery.
Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photos if possible.
We’ll evaluate the issue and, if approved, offer a replacement, store credit, or refund.
Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, including:

Perishable goods (such as food, freeze-dried meals, snacks, etc.)

Custom products (special orders or personalized items)

Personal care goods (such as beauty products)

Hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases

Sale items or gift cards

Exchanges
For non-food items:
The fastest way to get what you want is to return your eligible item (if accepted) and make a separate purchase for the new item.
European Union 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and accompanied by proof of purchase.
Note: Perishable food items are still non-returnable, per health and safety regulations.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if your refund is approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days.
If more than 15 business days have passed since your refund was approved, please contact us at info@backcountrybistro.com.
