We partner with local farmers to bring the freshest, highest-quality protein straight from farm to freeze-dry, delivering real, gourmet meals designed for the backcountry.
Our recipes are inspired by global flavors and tested by hunters and outdoor adventurers nationwide.

Don Goode
U.S. Army veteran and founder of Backcountry Bistro. Don’s passion for authentic, gourmet backcountry meals comes from his decade of military service, love of the outdoors, and Colombian-Italian roots. What started as a small-batch experiment in Kentucky has grown into a veteran-owned, world-inspired food company—delivering meals that truly earn their place in your pack.
